Meet Dr. Mathews


J. Kyle Mathews, M.D., is a board-certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Founder of  Plano OBGyn Associates and Plano Urogynecology Associates and the Institute for Aesthetic Vaginal Surgery.

He has been providing state of the art healthcare for women in Plano and the surrounding areas, (Dallas,Addison, Carrolton, Lewisville, Frisco), since 1992.

Dr. Mathews has served as past Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and past President of the Medical Staff at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano (Texas Health Plano). He has also served on the Maternal Fetal Medicine Committee for the Texas Medical Association and well as numerous other committee appointments. In 1998 he received the Collin County Readers Choice Award in Obstetrics and Gynecology and frequently speaks to civic groups and organizations on a variety of women’s issues. Dr. Mathews currently serves as  Director of Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery,  Urogynecology and Continence.

Dr. Mathews completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the prestigious program at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas Texas.  The premier textbook in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Williams Obstetrics and Gynecology, is written by the faculty of Parkland Memorial Hospital and Dr. Mathews was fortunate to train under  the authors.  Dr. Mathews completed his undergraduate training at Texas A&M University earning two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Biomedical Science, and the other in Veterinary Science.  He then attended Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and completed training for his DVM.  Dr. Mathews attended medical school at University of Texas School of Medicine, San Antonio, Texas.
