Look Sleek in Swimsuits this Summer with Labiaplasty

A lot of women start planning for swimsuit season months in advance. Weight-loss clinics and health clubs started doing a booming business in January. Though it’s difficult, we can all make a difference in our appearance by exercising and losing weight. But even after getting taut bodies, amazing abs and toned thighs, some women become self-conscious because of a very small but common problem that looms large in sleek swimsuits – the uneven bulges, in the crotch of tight bathing-suit bottoms.

Cure Summer Bathing Suit Bulges with Labiaplasty

There’s no reason to feel embarrassed and hide your head in the sand. Dr. J. Kyle Mathews can eliminate the excess skin and tissue from a misshapen or damaged labia majora (the broader, outer vaginal lips) and/or the labia minora (the smaller, interior vaginal lips). Dr. Mathews performs the procedure in his Plano urogyn office using local anesthesia and minimally invasive tissue ablation techniques. Intravenous (IV) anesthesia sedation also is available. The process takes approximately one to three hours to complete and patients should have a friend or family member drive them home.

Planning the Labiaplasty Procedure

  • Shower and wash as you wish when you return home.
  • Stay off your feet to reduce swelling, then head back to work 4 or 5 days after surgery.
  • Keep an ice pack and antibiotic cream handy.
  • Curtail heavy lifting or strenuous activity, such as running or biking — and even sexual intercourse — for 6 to 8 weeks.

There’s no need to feel self-conscious when it’s time to strip down to swimsuits this summer. For more information on labiaplasty, contact Dr. J. Kyle Mathews of Plano Urogynecology Associates, or call us at (972) 781-1444.
