A recent study from Italy found that consuming 30 grams of dark chocolate a day during pregnancy significantly reduced blood pressure (systolic and diastolic blood pressure), and reduced the risk of anemia. Researchers also noted the 160-calorie dose of dark chocolate did not affect overall weight gain for the pregnancy.
